Application
Wrap KOLD-RITE® around affected body part, overlapping the edge of each layer to completely cover the skin. Tuck end between one of the layers to hold in place. Do not cover KOLD-RITE® with an outer wrap as this prevents the evaporation process responsible for cooling. KOLD-RITE® can be safely worn for extended periods of time, with no danger of frostbite or tissue damage as with ice. The tape can be easily cut to any size with scissors.
Uses
KOLD-RITE® can be used for both cold therapy and compression to relieve pain and inflammation from sprains, strains, bruises, arthritis, muscle aches or spasms and other soft tissue injuries. It can also be used as a cooling aid in hot conditions – take it to sporting events in a cooler or ice chest and apply to the neck and chest area for rapid cooling.
*KOLD-RITE® is not recommended for use on broken skin or open wounds
Care
After use, simply roll KOLD-RITE® back up and place in a resealable bag, Add approximately 3 tablespoons of water to rehydrate. Seal bag and store at room temperature or in refrigerator. It is not necessary to reuse the inner plastic tube or the outer container, as long as it is stored in an airtight plastic bag. Do not freeze - the high water content of the gel will freeze your wrap into a solid block!
If your KOLD-RITE® wrap becomes soiled, clean by submerging in water, which will also help rehydrate it. Do not rinse under strongly flowing water as this will remove the gel. When wrap becomes dehydrated, the color will lighten - adding a few tablespoons of water will assist with rehydration.
Note - it is natural for small gel particles to slough off when wearing KOLD-RITE®, especially when new. The gel is non-toxic and non-staining and can be cleaned up either while wet or after drying.
Reuse
With proper care, your KOLD-RITE® Cold Therapy and Compression Wrap may be used approximately 15-20 times. Always make sure KOLD-RITE® is kept moist in a sealable bag. You may enhance KOLD-RITE®'s effectiveness by placing in the refrigerator until next use. * Do not freeze.
